About the “Black & White Singapore” collection
The black and white blinds and the Ming vase allude to a window in Singapore. While the vase sits firmly in place, the flowers in their full bloom and glory, are ready to venture out. They are disproportionately bigger than the vase and even the window. The spirit of these flowers cannot be contained indoors anymore.
I started painting this collection in 2021, when the world was spending more time indoors than ever before.
